About the Therapists
Pamela Harms, LPC/LCPC/NCC
Pamela holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in MO and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in KS. Pamela is a trauma-informed Christian therapist who works from a compassionate and non-judgmental Internal Family Systems perspective to help clients explore and heal the roots of their struggles, so they can live freely, from an undivided heart.
Healing is a journey, and everyone can benefit from a guide on that journey to help find the right path and provide compassionate support along the way. Pamela's passion is to help clients explore the memories and emotions that often lie beneath the surface of their current challenges, focusing on deeper healing and building a relationship with the self rather than temporary symptom relief.
As an EMDR-certified therapist and level 3-trained IFS practitioner, Pamela specializes in treating PTSD, complex PTSD, relational trauma, religious trauma, attachment issues, emotional neglect, and dissociative disorders. Pamela often integrates EMDR with Internal Family Systems therapy to help clients understand their protective parts and heal wounded child parts that deserve nurture and care.
Pamela believes therapy is most effective when holistic, considering mind, emotions, body, and spirit. As a certified integrative mental health provider (CIMHP), Pamela enjoys helping clients discover lifestyle changes that can improve mental health and overall well-being. With an undergraduate background in theology, Pamela is also comfortable addressing theological and existential struggles, guiding clients in exploring their relationship with God, the church, or their own spirituality.
To accelerate nervous system healing, Pamela is a certified coach offering Stephen Porges' frequency-based music therapies: the Safe & Sound Protocol and Rest & Restore Protocol.
Pamela believes we are all designed for love and belonging, but relationships are challenging and often require objective intervention and support. As a Gottman Level 2 therapist and certified Prepare Enrich facilitator, Pamela uses assessments to identify strengths and challenges in relationships and creates targeted plans to improve communication and intimacy or help couples recover from affairs, betrayal, trauma, and other painful experiences. She also incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS) as a powerful healing modality for couples, helping them grow in compassion for one another's parts while learning to heal their own hurting parts.
As a certified Synergetic Play Therapist, Pamela also works with children and provides parental support or parenting coaching. Her approach focuses on nervous system regulation, helping children attach to themselves while guiding parents to support their children as external regulators.
Pamela is a wife, mother of 2 teenage girls, and is obsessed with collecting and reading books. If she is not with a client, you might find her curled up with a cup of tea and her latest read, chasing sunsets with her girls, playing her heart out at her grand piano, or enjoying boba and deep conversation with a friend. Pamela believes that we are all on a shared journey and is honored to support her clients on their paths to greater wholeheartedness.

Hugo Lorenzo, Graduate Intern
My name is Hugo Lorenzo, and I am passionate about helping individuals and families find healing, growth, and purpose through a Christ-centered and holistic approach to counseling. I graduated from Missouri Valley College with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Community Counseling at the same institution.
As a graduate student from Brazil, my faith in Jesus is at the heart of everything I do. I love exploring the connection between theology and psychology, capturing life’s beauty through photography, and staying active through sports. I believe that integrating faith and evidence-based counseling practices provides a unique and powerful way to address life’s challenges.
I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their journeys toward healing and wholeness. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your story, uncover your strengths, and move toward the life God has called you to live. Whether you’re seeking guidance, encouragement, or tools to overcome obstacles, I am here to support you every step of the way.
